stay . Upon request an local payment: possibility of extra bed and baby-bed. Location: 200 m tennis, 800 m the village of S. Godenzo (500m a.s.l.) (food shops), 45 km North-east of Florence. San Godenzo lies at the foot of Mount Falterona and constitutes the entrance to the woods of Casentino Forests and Falterona and Campigna National Park, a beautifully hilly area with deep clefts and gentle valleys on both sides of of the Apennines.
Florence is surrounded by charming hills between the upper and lower Arno Valley, situated amidst olive groves, pine trees and cypresses. The valleys and hills with their Patrician and luxury villas are equally fascinating.
There is an impressive view from Fiesole, situated high above the hill, down to the Florentine basin. The areas around the Pratogmano and Mugello slopes offer refreshing walks through the forests. In addition, they are an ideal starting point to visit Machiavelli’s town and offer you the possibility to explore the particular emotions that are created by the countless historical villages and hamlets dotted into the green hills.
